BOOKISH/BLOG NEWS

In case you haven’t noticed, I did the A to Z Blogging Challenge this month! And I completed it! It was actually harder than I expected. When we were at letter O or something, I actually thought that the alphabet would never end… But it was also a lot of fun to do!

This month I also did my first buddy read! Or is it read-a-long? I’m no sure… What’s the difference? Anyways! I read the whole Hunger Games trilogy with Christine over at Readerly Musings. It was so much fun! And it turns out buddy-reading is a great motivation to read some books you might be having difficulties with. And we were both scared of the hunger games hype, so we ended up reading them together.

Because of the A to Z Challenge I didn’t do any memes this month and it turns out, I really miss some of them! I can’t wait to do a top 10 Tuesday this week and maybe even a couple of others!

PERSONAL NEWS

The new Uni semester has officially started. It’s kind of exciting, but also kind of boring, like always… The fun part of the new semester is that I started a bunch of new activities. Actually all of them have to do with dancing by some weird coincidence… So I started Jazz dance, Latin dance and I’m going to my first Salsa class today! Excitement!

This semester I have also set a goal of becoming more social. I have been socially awkward all my life and I am actually fine with spending most of my evenings alone at home, but the fear of dying alone has grown stronger! Ok, I’m overreacting. A bit. So I’ve decided from the beginning of the semester that I will be more sociable and this last week I actually managed it! I went to a party with someone I barely knew and a bunch of other people I had never seen in my life and at that point it hit me. Nobody knew me at that party and nobody would judge me, think I’m acting ridiculous etc etc, whatever I did. So I tried to push myself to talk to a lot of people and dance and whatnot, and it turns out… I actually had fun! Didn’t expect that one! So I went to two more parties (in one freaking week!) and I tried to keep this act which has led to me meeting a whole lot of new people and having fun. Plus having ridiculous anxiety problems every day, but I hope these will go away… So, yeah! I hope to keep this up in the weeks to come!

How was your (reading) month?

  1. Well done for going to the parties. I have problems with social situations and anxiety too, so I feel for you! I’ve just bought Throne of Glass, so I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

  2. Yay! We’ve completed the A-Z Challenge! *throws arms in air* My month was really good. I’ve posted 66 times on my blog, and I don’t know how many books I read, *laughs* but I do know that it was a lot. I see you’ve read some amazing books! ;D
