The A to Z Challenge is an annual blogging challenge. It isn’t restricted to book blogs – all kinds of blogs can participate. It takes place every year in April and during that month you have to write a post on the designated days (all except Sundays). These posts must have some correlation to the letter of the day. So, there will be a total of 26 posts starting from the letter A and ending with Z. Here is a list of all my posts.
Ever thought of doing your nails in a style inspired by your favorite books? Well I have! So this post is dedicated to some of my discoveries when it comes to nails and books.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The first nail art guru that I went to in search of bookish nails was, of course, cutepolish! I don’t know if you’ve heard of her, but she is an awesome youtuber (nailtuber?) and has many very easy tutorials on how to do nails. So she actually has 2 hunger games inspired nail art tutorials:
These two look quite easy to do! Then again she makes every nail design look very easy. The first one uses a weird technique that I’ve never tried, so I don’t know if it actually works… But for the second one all you need is a steady hand and a striper (those thin nail brushes).
This one is from a different youtuber called IHaveACupcake. I find this one a bit harder to recreate, so I would suggest trying one of the previous ones if you’re not so good with nail art.
Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
The first design you can go with is this:
I found this one on a blog called Peace Love Lacquer
Unfortunately there is no actual tutorial, but maybe you can re-create the design just by looking at this picture…
Other than that, I found some designs that are more vaguely inspired by the Game of Thrones, like this:
There is a Pictorial at Beauty Rock.
Picture from: A Study in Polish. Unfortunately again there’s no tutorial.
What do you think of these? Would you do something like that with your nails?
